The Memphis Grizzlies Lost To Detroit Then Fought Each Other In The Locker Room

Oh, yes, feed me all the physical altercations between teammates. One spin zone though could be the Grizzlies are just trying to be like the Golden State Warriors. I mean we hear all about teams trying to copy the Warriors and build around shooting and all that stuff. Well, the Warriors were fighting with Kevin Durant and Draymond Green and I’ve heard about 3 people refer to Omri Casspi and Garrett Temple as the Kevin Durant and Draymond Green of the Memphis Grizzlies.

It’s not necessarily a surprise when stories like this come out. I mean the Grizzlies have lost 10 of the last 13 after a decent start. Despite finally having Marc Gasol and Mike Conley healthy along with a great rookie in Jaren Jackson, they just haven’t been able to put it all together.

I don’t think you should see any public punishment for either of these guys. They’ll handle it in house and try to get through it. There aren’t any injuries like the Mirotic/Portis fight or anything like that. Right now the Grizzlies need to worry about building around Jaren Jackson. It’s clear that they aren’t going to contend with the current group and while Gasol/Conley are good, they are getting older. It’s time to just worry about Jackson and start building around him. The Grizzlies are 2.5 games out of the 8th spot in the playoffs, but how long can they hold off teams like the Timberwolves, Jazz, Pelicans and Mavericks who are all behind them in the standings.
